| 1. Thus the Lord commanded the kings, the princes, the exalted, and those who dwell on earth, saying, Open your eyes, and lift up your horns, if you are capable of comprehending the Elect One.

Sålunda befallde Herren konungarne, furstarne, de upphöjde och dem, som bo på jorden, sägande: Öppnen edra ögon och upplyften edra hufvuden (horn) om J ären i stånd att förstå den ende Utvalde.

Och sålunda befallde Herren konungarna och de mäktiga och de höga och dem som besitta jorden och sade: Slån upp edra ögon och upplyften edra horn, om i det förmån, för att erkänna den Utvalde!
